COPD Breathing Space
Breathing Space is a project for people diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and their unpaid Carers. Anyone who has been diagnosed with COPD is welcome to attend. We work alongside specialist respiratory nurses, Wellbeing Practitioners, a GP as well as guest speakers to provide a holistic support service which covers both lung-health as well as wider wellbeing.
Our sessions offer time to talk and share experiences with each other as well as a range of activities. These include simple seated exercises; breathing practices; arts & crafts; quizzes & games; tai chi;laughter yoga; holistic therapies, as well as meditation & relaxation practices.
There are currently Breathing Space groups located all across Northamptonshire including:Â Northampton, Moulton, Daventry, Wellingborough, Corby and Raunds.
There are also Singing for Lung Health sessions available in Wellingborough and Moulton, and Long Covid support groups taking place in Moulton and on Zoom.
