Paying for short-term or respite care
Northamptonshire County Council offer three types of short term support.
Reablement :
Is a type of short-term support to help you become as independent as possible
Enablement:
Is another type of short-term support.
This service will help you to develop independent living skills, support you with employment and make strong, lasting relationships in your local community by developing networks and opportunities. The aim is to improve your quality of life and enable you to lead a more independent life.
Respite care:
If you have a carer and receive care in your own home, there may be occasions when you, your carer or both need a break. This is known as respite care or a carer’s break
